Many of the positions that we have available are suitable
for teachers beginning their career. The only essential
qualifications are:
-
You must be a native speaker of English
-
You
must have a university degree
-
You
must have a TEFL certificate
It does not matter what subject your degree is in, although
preference may be given to candidates with degrees in
languages or related subjects. Competence in a foreign
language is not a requirement for most posts, although some
of our client schools are seeking teachers of other European
languages as well as English. You will not be required to
speak Greek.
We accept applications from all Via Lingua graduates, and
give priority to those taking the course in Corinth. Apart
from Via Lingua graduates, we can only accept applications
from European Union nationals who are available for a
face-to-face interview in London or Corinth.
For positions at entry level, experience is not a
requirement: we give you the opportunity to escape from the
"catch 22" situation that you cannot get a job without
experience, and you cannot get experience without a job.
Greece is an EU country and it is easier for EU nationals to
find teaching jobs than for non-EU nationals. Apart from
graduates of the Via Lingua TEFL course, we are not able to
assist non-EU nationals in finding teaching work in Greece. |
